Adam is a class act. Yes he's gay but he doesn't let his sexuality define him in totality. He's not out there advertising himeself as gay, as much as say Simon Cowell is advertising himself as hetero. If Adam does not win, he will still be successfull after American Idol. He doesn't have? it in the bag, he's got it made.

hmm, i see what you are saying. but to me, he looks totally solid in himself, that's who he is and it suits him. his background is theatre so he has been taught to sing? with emotion etc. i think he does know who he is and he seems pretty genuine to me

A true artist DOES and is SUPPOSE to 'act out', not just SING the song - it makes the delivery more real. It's much easier to connect with a performance when someone is singing from their heart and not just singing the words they memorized on a sheet, most of the top 36 could do that. Adam has the unique ability to go that step further and? be convincing rather than just simply reciting the verses. Plus, his performances are entertaining, not dull and dreary - not easy to do.

I Just think that he sings like he's acting out the song instead of just singing it. Too much theater in his actions. It gives him the appearance that he is hiding who he really is. All that over the top black hair dye, plastic makeup and fake rocker image makes him all too fake too? me. He looks sad to me. I mean just like a lost little boy. Like, will the real Adam Lambert please show up.
