The Monkeys were just as important to us as the Beatles were. They might have been even closer to us than the Beatles because they were constructed out of everyday joe's. When they were? first formed they couldn't play a single instrument, but out of loyality to their fans they learned. They went from a fake band to a real band and they touched many lives. I grew up with this band's music and loved every minute of it! You will be missed Davey. Rest in Peace.

The death of Davy Jones has left a hole in my heart and I have cried many tears since his death. Even though he has died Davy Jone and The Monkees will live in my heart forever. For all those people back in the day who criticized the Monkees for being "manufactured" and not a real band, I simply don't understand that - WHO CARES that they were "created" for TV - they ALL HAD TALENT and were wonderful comedians, actors, AND musicians. The producers/writers of this show were simply brilliant! As Micky once said, "If this could be reproduced again, everybody would be doing it." So it was obviously a once-in-a-lifetime GENIUS thing. You can't have millions of? fake fans.

This is a beautiful song and sung very well. Their harmony and pronunciation was quite outstanding. Mickeys and Davids voices are angelic. I had not ever seen or heard this prior to his passing and happening on? to it via You Tube. Bravo !! They were very special in all so many ways.

I saw this Friday at the Nokia theatre in LA it was amazing except there they added a pretty funny part before starting the song. I have no idea what they were saying although I don't? think it was words just "dadeeda something". Lisa lambe and Chloe were in the audience "arguing" singing this back and forth. Ziplining is only 15 minutes away from the hotel, white water rafting about an hour away, surfing close by or head on down to Tamarindo about an hour south. jet skiiing, water slides,... and I am sure that there are even more activities available from the Tour guides! The prices are not bad either. I did the ATV ride for 2 hours for only $60!!! Well worth it, being able to view the beautiful Costa Rican landscapes, ride across the different terrains, ride with a group of 7 other people all on ATVs, riding through puddles of pudding water at full speed and having it splash all over your face and? body! Absolutely Amazing!

You sound like a boring ass person and you are so mistaken! No one watches T.V. maybe at night before they go to bed. This resort? is way more comforting than home. It is an all inclusive resort with high quality service. The beach is full of tour guides to take you snorkling, ATV riding, horseback riding, Zip-Lining through the Rain Forest Canopy, Volcanic Tours, mud bath/ natural hot springs tours, River tours (to feed the Crocodiles and white-faced monkies), white water raffting

No es asi; la version original, en español antiguo es exactamente como la cantan ellos: "Dios guardo el lobo de nuestra cordera". Mas adelante, cuando esta forma quedo obsoleta, se cambio por la? estructura moderna de "Dios guardo del lobo a nuestra cordera", pero tienen exactamente el mismo significado.

Hola: El director de tu coro ha pensado bien, pues ése es el estribillo: "Dios guardó el lobo de nuestra cordera". Te he enviado un link de la Biblioteca de la Universidad de Uppsala, dónde puedes ver una fotografía del estribillo original y comprobar? por ti mismo como aparece en el Cancionero. Un saludo ;)

No conozco desafortunadamente el escrito original del Cancionero de Uppsala pero tengo una version critica que escribe igual " Dios guardó del lobo - a nuestra cordera" que no significa nada como dices tu tambien. Es probable que el copista lo haya escrito mal y asi se encuentra en las copias. El? director de mi coro, que es espanol, con algunas recontruciones de significado, ha pensado que sea "Dios guardó el lobo - de nuestra cordera" y si me lo averiguas, mejor! :)

Hola: El estribillo de este? villancico recogido en el "Cancionero de Uppsala", llamado también "Cancionero del Duque de Calabria", del S. XVI dice: Riu, riu, chiu, La guarda ribera, Dios guardó el lobo De nuestra cordera. Por un error de trancripción o por alguna extraña razón, muchos grupos corales lo cantan como dices (por efecto contagio o dominó), cambiando ligeramente el sentido original. Un saludo ;)
