It would be nice if the search function also searched my local DNLA or attached USB hard drive. I guess it now supports USB deivces up to 2TB and NTFS support. A search function seeing how I have several hundred home? vidoes on the usb and NAS. If I could search for through them using the search function as in this video, I would sacrifice a small bull at the alter of Google.

I hope EVERYONE cuts the cord to? the cable providers. Their overthetop prices PER month are onerous considering most of us only watch a few channels. I bought a Clearstream antenna and cut the cord from AT&T Uverse. The picture is better and I get about 25 channels altogether. Also I have Netflix, which I'm likeing better than Hulu, will stop that one next. I got Google TV to augment my options, I hope everyone junks Cable! Broadcasters make an app for their channel just to keep their audience!

Logitech has an app just for streaming content from a Windows Media Server. It works well to. Pictures, music, videos, and a nice interface. Since this is a Logitech App, I mentioned I'm? not sure if it's possible on other devices such as Sony. Maybe someone who has Sony with Google TV can chime in here.

No. It works as a network media streamer. You can watch cable TV through it only with a cable TV subscription. The device can be used without cable but it only allows you to view Amazon VOD, Netflix, and many other web based providers.? Most of the networks block Google TV so you can't for instance go to CBS.com and catch up on your favorite show with this device.

Nice review. Although I wish u would have said more about surfing the web as? after I read some reviews they talked alot about how the surfing is very limited & also I wished u would have said more about bringing in external info via usb, still overall I am very happy with your review. I also wondered if u had to use control alt delete like on your computer if your tv screen freezes, but at the same time, I'll find out once I get my unit. In either case,thanks for sharing & keep up the good work.

@colemangross @colemangross I appreciate the compliment. Also, I never stated that I was the "first", I stated that I was "one of the first" out of a few thousand... I would call a few thousands a small mass. Tech companies send soak tests during the first week of updates sending out the update to bits of people at a time, and on day they? press the button and everyone gets it. I was in the first round of updates. I made this review on the 28th and the updates began on the 28th.

I like most everything about your review of the Revue except for the comment that you were the or one of the first to get an update. Updates are released for the masses not just you.. Logitech not only lowered the price from $300 to $99 but? they also sell a refurbished. I hated the 2.x to 3.1 update (at first) now I love it except for that darn search bar popping up every time my mouse gets to the top. I wish I could turn that feature OFF! I love mine bought 4 +Apple TV 2 JAILBREAK (FREE MOVIES)

I wish mine worked like that. Chrome is a hogtied turd that still can't sync bookmarks, the latest? YouTube version SUCKS and crashes, the GTV interface is supposedly Honeycomb, but doesn't look or function anything like Honeycomb, you can only search TV 1 hour ahead, and a lot of the shows are not listed at the correct time, PIP doesn't work half the time because the app magically disappears randomly. And a couple of really odd things, being GOOGLE TV...no Gmail, and poor search results.

and yes my google tv is awesome to game on and now that the new lines are 120 hz it will be even better...id wait a few months because sony and vizio are coming out? with their google tvs this summer..the LG remote doesnt look very good to handle which will be the main dividing point of all these tvs (along with the build quality/ hardware) because the operating system will be the same... google tv FTW!

bought my sony google tv right before christmas (they are discontinued for the new up? coming line of google tv's) i got it for $899 46"...my parents recently bought a samsung 7000 series smart led tv and my google tv blows it away.. internet browsing is fast and keyboard is intuitive as is the android OS. my parents samsung has a better contrast ratio and higher refresh rate but the "smart tv" part sucks.. the remote is hard to use, internet browsing is painful and slow and the OS sucks
